Hi! I am Ms. Brenda Oakley,

I earned both my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and my Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from Lincoln Memorial University. My teaching experience includes one year in Memphis and one year in Knoxville, and thirty-four years at Pi Beta Phi where I developed a passion for helping students learn and grow. Most of my career has been in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, but I am pleased to say I am the Response to Intervention (RTI) teacher in Reading. I love to read in my spare time and binge watch series on Netflix.

I am a proud mother of two grown children whose careers and life choices have brought me great joy. As an educator, I believe in creating a supportive, engaging classroom where every student feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. I look forward to building meaningful relationships with my students and their families and making a positive difference in their educational journey.
