Originally born and raised in Texas but moved to Tennessee 16 years ago with my family. I have been married to my husband for 20 years and we have two kids (a Sophomore at East Texas Baptist University and a Freshman at GPHS). I enjoy reading and watching my kids at their sporting events. I also enjoy traveling back home to Texas anytime I can to be with family. In Texas, I was a Jr. High Girls Coach and now I teach 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th ESL. I enjoy teaching because I love working with kids and watching them excel. I love being a Pi Beta Phi Mountaineer.

I have spent my career at Pi Beta Phi, first as a special education teacher and now as an ESL teacher. I have always loved reading and especially enjoy helping students grow into confident readers and writers. When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my family, camping, and enjoying the outdoors.
