Bohanan, Rylee
ESL Teacher
My name is Rylee Bohanan, and I have proudly called Sevier County home my entire life. I attended Catons Chapel Elementary School and graduated from Gatlinburg-Pittman High School before continuing my education at East Tennessee State University. There, I earned a bachelor's degree in K–5 Elementary Education and PreK–12 English as a Second Language (ESL).
My dream of becoming a teacher began at a young age, and I have always hoped to return to Sevier County to give back to the community that has given so much to me. I am excited to begin my third year as an ESL teacher at Pi Beta Phi Elementary School, where I have the privilege of helping students grow in both their language skills and confidence every day.
Outside of the classroom, life keeps me busy! I am happily married to my husband, Avery, and I love spending time with our family, especially my three nieces. I also enjoy serving as an elementary teacher at my church and coaching basketball and softball at Gatlinburg-Pittman High School.
When I have free time, you can usually find me reading a good book, hiking in the Smoky Mountains, or making memories with family and friends.
I am so excited for another wonderful year at Pi Beta Phi and look forward to partnering with our students and families to make it a successful and memorable school year!
