Principal's Letter to Parents

Posted Date: 2/06/24 (2:00 PM)

Dear Mountaineer Parents/Guardians,

I trust this message finds you well as we embark on the fourth six weeks of the school year. It's truly heartening to witness the growth and positive interactions among our students, and I extend my sincere appreciation to all PBP parents/guardians.

Your unwavering support and commitment to your child's education do not go unnoticed. The partnership between home and school is vital, and your positive engagement is instrumental in creating an environment where all students can thrive. In these unique times, your responsible parenting and reinforcement of academics and appropriate behavior contribute significantly to our students' success.

Our theme, "Create a Better Tomorrow," resonates in the collaborative efforts between teachers and students. Together, they are working on meaningful, individual learning targets, engaging in activities that foster problem-solving skills and higher-order thinking. The Parks as Classroom program during the first semester exemplified our commitment to utilizing natural resources for academic growth.

As we navigate through the school year, I encourage you to reinforce the importance of daily attendance and punctuality. Your active involvement ensures that each day counts in providing your child with the necessary skills to become a productive citizen of our community and the world.

In light of the season, please take a moment to review and update your contact information. With the possibility of inclement weather, it's crucial to have accurate information to communicate any changes promptly. I also urge you to discuss and understand the protocol for early school closures due to weather or other reasons with your child's teacher.

Your cooperative support is invaluable, and I extend my gratitude for your continued partnership in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment for our students.

Best regards,

Carey Woods, Principal
