Fire Prevention Week

My name is Kerri Heinrich and this is my sixth year teaching. I went to Pi Beta Phi and graduated from Gatlinburg-Pittman High School. I taught in Nashville for a while after college but I missed the mountains and my family. My family and friends are the most important thing in my life. I love to read, hike and shop. I love  watching Tennessee football and basketball. I have one sister who just got married so now I have a brother. I'm going to be an aunt in August and am super excited! I am very involved in my church youth group and outreach ministries.

I went on a mission trip to Louisiana.         I'm really involved with girls at church.

I have my Bachelor of Arts in History and a Masters in Science in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee. I taught third grade English as Second Language for three years in Nashville. While it was an adjustment at first, I adore teaching kindergarten and first grade. The kids are so much fun and say the funniest things.  It is a lot of fun to see how much the kids learn in the two years I have them. Reading is my favorite thing to teach. I love seeing the light bulbs go off and everything click when they read. I believe all students are capable of succeeding in school when they are in a positive environment. It takes work from home and school to make that happen. I hope we can work together to make your child's kindergarten and  first grade years successful ones.
