Question: What is the KinderCare Program?
Answer:
KinderCare is a service provided by the school for those parents who
work in the afternoons. If the parent does not work, students are
expected to be picked up by 12:30 daily. Students must be
approved by the administration to be eligible for KinderCare.
Question: Where can I get an
application?
Answer: Your child's
Kindergarten teacher will send an application home with your child on
the first day of school.
Question:
What supplies are needed for the KinderCare Program?
Answer: Mat
for napping/resting, Pillow/blanket, & Snacks.
Question: Where do I
purchase the napping/resting mat?
Answer:
Parents are required to purchase a mat, which costs $30.00, from the
school. We require the school mat so that all the mats are of
uniform size and can be stacked/stored easily. The mat will be
given to the parent at the end of the school year. If paying by
check, please make the check payable to Pi Beta Phi Elementary.
If paying by cash, please ask for a receipt.
Question: Will my
child need a pillow/blanket?
Answer:
Please send a small pillow and/or blanket for your child to use during
nap time, if your child needs one. Periodically, the pillow
and/or blanket will be returned home for cleaning.
Question: Will there
be snack time for students?
Answer: Yes!
Parents
will be asked to donate snack items on a rotating basis.
Please check with the teacher when it is time for you to send
snacks. Generally speaking, crackers and cookies along with a
fruit juice are the most popular with the students. Ice cream is
available on Fridays at the cost of 75 cents per ice cream.
